Robert Moir , one of the
best-known English Country Dance teachers/callers will lead an English Country
Dance session on Sunday afternoon of the Festival.
Robert is noted for his
clear concise teaching, and aims to enable dancers to perform to the best of
their abilities. Robert is invited to call all over the country as well as
abroad, and spent a large part of the summer touring the West Coast of America
- from Canada to San Diego, where he and his wife Hazel were greatly welcomed
and appreciated. Although a Scot by birth, Robert has been teaching English
Country Dance for over thirty years and particularly enjoys the challenge of
making the interaction of dance and music enjoyable to dancers.
For this event, he will be
joined by Roger Wilkins, leader of The Falconers Country Dance Band. Roger is
an accomplished accordianist, noted in particular for his sensitive
interpretation and wonderful phrasing of dance music.
The combination of Robert
and Roger is not to be missed by those who appreciate the best.
