Corryvrechan

Corryvrechan has been dancing under this name since the early 1980s, and its reputation draws dancers from a wide area within the UK, who are actively involved in many of the UK and all international performances. Any performance can include the full team of over 20 dancers, or as few as 8, as required.

Their programme encompasses a wide range of Scottish dance traditions and they also have a singer who is happy to give solo performances of Scottish songs.

All Corryvrechan’s performances are accompanied by live music. The team is proud of its own expert musicians and indeed of its long and continuing tradition of working with some of the best Scottish musicians in the UK. The lively spirit of Corryvrechan’s displays is in no small measure due to the successful combination of the dance and the music, a combination which has long been a strength in the world of Scottish traditional arts.
